Built Quietly. Now Built to Last.
From Jalingo, Taraba State to a group of nine subsidiaries — the story of A-Waves Holdings is what happens when preparation meets opportunity and refuses to wait.
Building Africa's Next Great Institutions
Ayokunle Elisha Kayode-Onaleye is the Founder and Group CEO of A-Waves Holdings Ltd. He is a Medical Laboratory Scientist by training, a builder by vocation, and one of the youngest corporate members of the Institute of Certified Business Consultants in Nigeria's history.
His professional track record spans corporate operations, sales and business development, technology, and healthcare. At a multinational IT firm, he progressed from an entry-level IT Support Specialist to Associate Director of Business Development within 18 months — leading teams of up to 12 people across multiple states, managing capital allocation, brand growth, and operational strategy at scale.
In that role, he personally closed ₦300M+ in verifiable commercial deals for his employer — building the institutional knowledge of how Nigerian corporates buy, how proposals win, and how long-term client relationships are maintained.
Over nine years, Ayokunle has founded, co-founded, or operated 21 distinct ventures and roles — generating verifiable revenue outcomes, operating part-time with just two people.
"I have been working at someone else's table long enough. This is our table. And the people who build it with me from the beginning are the ones who will benefit the most when it becomes great."— Ayokunle Kayode-Onaleye
Founder & Group CEO
"Failure is not disqualifying — it is foundational. Every governance principle in A-Waves Holdings exists because something taught us why it matters."
Built on Hard-Won Experience
A-Waves Holdings is built on hard-won experience, not just success. Ayokunle's track record includes ventures that did not succeed as planned, which directly inform how the group is designed today.
A campus-based eatery and ice cream concept, launched on a date that coincided with an extended industrial action, was relocated and relaunched as a new venture that achieved over ₦1 million in sales within three weeks. That venture, funded substantially through debt, was ultimately sold at a loss after a combination of operational and financial planning shortfalls—despite recording over ₦2.5 million in sales in under three months.
These experiences shaped the principles now embedded in A-Waves Holdings' design: structured financial planning, disciplined capital allocation, strong operational governance, and the deliberate separation of subsidiary CEOs from the group's centralised capital function.
Our Core Convictions
Ownership
Own your results. Do not wait to be told what to do. Every co-founder is accountable — to the group and to themselves.
Integrity
Every naira documented. Every conflict disclosed. No exceptions. We operate as if the regulator is always watching.
Precision
Specific claims. Real numbers. Earned credibility. We do not exaggerate. We let the work speak.
Legacy
Building for 20 years, not 20 months. Every decision is evaluated against the long-term vision.
